Abdoulaye Seck is a Senegalese economist and political figure who was the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Infrastructure of Senegal from 2013 to 2019. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Kansas and has worked as a professor, consultant, and advisor to various international organizations, including the World Bank and the United Nations. Seck has also served as the Director-General of the Africa Rice Center and the Executive Secretary of the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development. He has been recognized with several awards for his contributions to agriculture and rural development in Africa.
